I remember arriving at Nkarta. They’re in the Johnson and Johnson labs in the part of the Bay Area that is looking to become Biotech central. Every big name biotech/bioscience company is there, and every startup as well.
When I met the CEO, I’ll never forget what he said (with a smile and head nod): ‘You’re what a photographer SHOULD look like!’. I don’t publish photos of myself online, so I’ll let you figure that one out. It was by far the best thing I’ve heard in a long time. I think even if I messed up the photos, my appearance on this one would carry me through 😉
They were a pleasure to photograph. I was in tight quarters, but I made it work.
