Corporate Headshots; Downtown SF
Sometimes you just luck out. When I went to visit Jesse at his office at Paragon, it was like having the best of every view in the city available. There was so much variety in where to take his corporate headshots, that we just popped around from one spot to the next. So easy when it works out like that.
We started out close to his home and ventured around from there. He knew all the good spots since he had lived in the neighborhood for quite some time. The area was chock full of character- long, steep streets, high stairwells, and diverse architecture. I probably could've spent some more time there just shooting landscapes and cityscapes but time was of the essence that day. Jesse had a couple meetings and he was squeezing me in. Or was it the other way around..
Anyway, we tooled around in his rather swanky car to get some broad city background. I'm not 100% clear on where everything is in San Francisco, but I'm pretty sure we were in Twin Peaks when we snapped a view of the city that spans across the entire bay into Oakland. Essentially one side of the bay to the other.
We settled on a few locations that made the most sense for his shoot and style. It was a fun way to spend an hour or so. We walked up and down a few flights of very steep stairs trying to get the composition right. I think I shot him from above, below, and sideways. There was also a good deal of nature around, but we stayed clear of it. We wanted the shoot to have more city than country.
After a little while, I looked down and noticed I had taken over 500 pictures. More than enough, but less than what I could've shot.
