New York City Corporate Team Headshots-
I believe in this world half of the things that happen are from hard work and the other half from luck and connections. Maybe I have my percentages off, but this was a really strong combination of all of it. At first, I had the pleasure of shooting a personal session with the Betts Recruiting CEO. Afterward she invited me back to do her entire staff in both San Francisco and New York City. It’s not like I was going to say no.
Though this is a recruiting company, it resembles more of a tech company. The offices are open spaces and the staff is very cutting edge. I’m not implying that other industries don’t have cutting edge staff, but the tech industry leads the charge in that field.
I had two experiences with their offices: San Francisco and New York.
In San Francisco, upon arrival, I lugged my gear up the winding stairs. I was told that the elevator in the building was literally one of the smallest in all of San Francisco. Maybe it was the smallest. Like a known fact, the smallest. Good thing I parked right in front of the building. I dropped off my gear, made myself a Nespresso, and started to set up. A Nespresso machine is the sign of a good office, IMHO.
In New York, upon arrival, I deplaned. Then took a train to midtown to B&H to pick up some supplies. Then took the subway down to SOHO. The New York offices were similar to San Francisco, except there was a large white wall I used for a backdrop instead of setting up the gray. This actually made it easier on me. Corporate team headshots for all!
Here’s a peak at one of the sessions on a few different backdrops.
