Corporate Workstyle Photographer
I remember when I first got the email from these guys about doing their headshots. They were pretty laid back about what they wanted, but they did want a particular look: informal and slightly candid, while still maintaining a professional appeal. I call this workstyle. It’s my favorite style of corporate headshot. Moreover, it offers the most latitude to be creative and really allows me to work with each individual to get their personality out.
They had a pretty interesting space. Right in the Presidio in those complexes that were built to look like military offices. They look much like Cavallo Point, just on the other side of the bridge. There’s such a resemblance and linkage between the two areas, it’s as if the continents split and left them as brother and sister.
I’ve shot in this location before and there are some challenges amongst the architecture. There’s a prevailing greenish color all around from the trees reflecting off the white buildings. And the interiors of the buildings don’t give much light- the windows are small. And lastly, the buildings are, well, old. But not that attention-to-detail old, just old.
Anyway, the buildings notwithstanding, I enjoyed working with these guys. They all dressed to the nines and each had good charisma. It was like working with old friends. For a corporate workstyle photographer, it couldn’t get much better.
Take a look.
