Corporate Group Headshots
This one was challenging, but turned out to be a lot of fun. But, before I say anything more, I urge any photographer (or anyone, for that matter) that often runs into lighting issues to get the Westcott Ice Light 2 . It’s a game changer if you work on the go and can’t always bring a full lighting setup. It barely weighs anything and you can put it basically anywhere and the lighting is flawless. I mean, I don’t even want to bring my regular setup anymore because of it. It’s that good.
Anyway, the challenge with this shoot was that it was a workstyle shoot for 18 people that had to be contained to a very small area of a boardroom, so there was limited variety of photos that I could get given the available space. To compound issues, the room was basically orange, yellow, and brown, as was the furniture, so I forced myself to pay extra attention to my camera settings and how the room was reflecting. Once I worked the lighting and drew out some of the color, the pictures started to look great. In fact, some of these go down as my faves all around. Take a look at some of them below.
