Bay Area Executive Headshots
This story is just nuts. While I was minding my emails, I got a phone call from Laurel of EBT.org. She needed a mix of traditional and not-so-traditional pictures for her repertoire, and also to submit as her pictures for conferences and speaking engagements.
She called in a bit of haste, so I jumped into crisis management mode. But really, she just really knew what she wanted and she was able to lay out the details. It doesn't always happen that way. Typically I'll get a client who knows what he or she wants, but doesn't know exactly how they want it done. This was the opposite. To clarify, she didn't know how she wanted to be posed, nor did she know exactly where she wanted to be photographed; however, she did know that the publication using the images needed the images to be in a specific format and style.
Of course my interest piqued as to who she was. As it turned out, she's a New York Times bestselling author. I feel honored when I get such a client. Let me tell you something- she is one of the most genuine, caring, and interesting people I've ever met. To this day, we're still in touch and check in with one another.
