Executive Headshots for Sensato Investors, San Francisco
I have nothing but great things to say about these people and this executive headshot session. They were very welcoming and there was no lack of variety for spaces to shoot in their office- conference rooms, lounge areas, and big bright windows. To boot, they were all extremely photogenic. I don’t think I could’ve gotten a bad picture, even if I didn’t know how to shoot.
I really didn’t know what to expect upon arrival. Their offices are located in the Citigroup Center. Though those are typically nice offices, it can go either way. I was concerned that the interior would be that standard brown and yellow that seems to accompany every investment bank office. Either those colors, or the office would be designed with typical office furniture just like a kindergarten classroom is designed with the same typical stuff.
I was pleasantly surprised. They must host clients often because there was a very accommodating and comfortable seating area toward the entrance of the office. Clearly, the area was meant as a waiting area, but I used it for some strategic shooting. There was a big window behind the main couch, and the furniture was modular enough to be moved around to allow for some great lighting angles.
I looked around and found a couple smaller, private rooms that I could use for different context as well. They didn’t seem to mind wandering around the office, nor did they seem to mind that I was rearranging the furniture everywhere I went. I think they looked at it as par for the course. If you need to get pictures taken, get the best pictures taken; worry about the furniture later.
Afterwards, we took the elevator downstairs and shot some pictures in the courtyard. I’m pretty sure the entire courtyard is made of marble- pretty impressive. The fountain in the center gave a nice feel, and the palm trees pulled everything together. All in all, a great shoot.
