Corporate Team Headshots
I like having a little range when it comes to shooting for companies. This one was a little different being that I was shooting in a location, Cavallo Point, that is typically best for families and scenery (and spa treatments and weddings)- not really a corporate setting. Not at all, actually. They definitely host their share of events and functions here, but it’s not full of cityscape or business related props that would give some corporate context.
Luckily for me, they didn’t want that. The description they gave for the shoot style was ‘Silicon Valley’.
Now, I get it. I do tech companies quite often. But this setting was going to be a challenge for that type of shoot. There isn’t really anything edgy or new about Cavallo Point to give it a SV feel. However, shooting them in a candid style would give me the range they needed to appear Silicon Valley(ish).
I tried to keep the background as neutral as possible while still working within the confines of the surrounding theme . The shoot actually turned out to be a lot of fun, even with the challenge of turning a touristy location into a business shoot.
