New York City Corporate Headshot Photographer
I fly often from San Francisco to the New York City studio so I’m no stranger to redeye flights and time changes. Sometimes both put together can hit me like a ton of bricks and I go into some sessions expecting to feel tired and beat up. When I took the redeye to get to this session with Zendesk, I was fearing the worst. Somehow, it ended up being one of the best quick trips I’ve had to NYC in a long time.
I arrived at JFK at 8am completely awake and with a good amount of energy. Enough so, that I was able to drop off all my equipment at their offices fairly early, and then head over to NYSC to get in a workout and a run before the session was to start at noon. On top of that, it was a beautiful and clear 75 degree day in the Apple.
The equipment I brought was a bit cumbersome to lug on a plane and around the city, but well worth it- a Lastolite Hilite and a couple Alien Bees strobes to make the photos crisp. It may not be the most practical portable setup, but in all my time, it works the best to get that pure white background, and it cuts down quite a bit on editing and post.
The session went quickly and smoothly and I had enough time in the city to meet with friends for the night and get in a full day the next day of hitting up my old stomping grounds. The following day’s weather was even warmer and sunnier. Not bad for a shoot in late October.
In the end, the session with Zendesk NYC went very well and I felt as if I had known them for a long time. Not to mention, I originally did their offices in San Francisco as well so I guess I kinda do know them for a while. Here’s just a few.
